## Naturalization files go electronic

Since September 16, 2026, a naturalization application can be handled as an electronic file under Resolution 51973 of the National Immigration Service. The requirements to naturalize did not change, and the oath and the registration with the Civil Registry are still mandatory.

## New rules for the knowledge exam

Electoral Tribunal Decree 13 of August 1, 2025 rewrote the article on the knowledge exam and its exemptions. It was published in the Electoral Tribunal Bulletin 5872-B and took effect on August 6, 2025.
